Andras Geszti

András is the founder of Euroventures and current chairman of the supervisory board of Euroventures Zrt.

He graduated at the Budapest University of Technology as an electrical engineer and at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences. 

He started his carrier as an engineer on power plant construction latter he qualified as patent attorney. For 8 years András was involved in international marketing of Hungarian innovations and intellectual property.  

In 1990 he established his first investment management company, the Antra Kft, which was the exclusive manager of a $20M fund. András worked as an investment director at ABN AMRO corporate ventures and as a consultant to international organisations of the United Nations (Unido és UNDP) within and beyond Europe.   

András is the founding president of the the Hungarian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and former board member of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (Brussels). He is also the former president of the Városligeti Lions Club.

 

Péter Tánczos

Peter Tanczos graduated at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences with an MSc in Finance and Management and later earned a postgraduate degree in Economic Law at the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. He studied at INSEAD in France and received his MBA in 1999.

He started his carreer as an investment analyst in 1993, two years later as a partner of the Euroventures private equity firm, running four consecutive successful venture capital and private equity programmes in Hungary and its neighbouring countries since. Currently he is the Chairman of the board of Euroventures Venture Capital Fund Management Zrt, the manager of Euroventures IV. He served on the executive and supervisory boards of several companies of the Euroventures portfolio, supporting some of them in the capacity of an interim CEO as well.

Thomas Howells

Tom Howells is from the UK. He graduated at the London School of Economics and earned his MBA at INSEAD in France.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London. In 1995 he joined Euroventures as a partner. As a director of Euroventures Howells has been closely involved in direct private equity investments in Central Europe in a number of companies.

He is the member of the board and the Investment Committee of Euroventures Zrt, previously he served on the board member of the Hungarian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.

He is furthermore a founding partner of Bortársaság, the leading Hungarian wine trading company and the owner of the Blue Guides international guide book series.

 

Zoltán Tóth

Zoltan Toth has 18 years of experience in private equity and consulting in blue-chip international companies. He led investments in several companies in different stages of their life cycle: early stage, growth capital as well as buy-outs. He has worked on deals/assignments in 15+ countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Europe and the United States. 

Zoltan worked for the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago and Budapest before joining Advent International’s Central European team where he completed investments in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, England and Bulgaria.  Later he became partner at 3i where he worked on investment opportunities across CEE and lead the effort in the food and drink sector across Europe.

Zoltan joined Euroventures in March 2010. He is member of the board and the Investment Committee.  

He is a graduate of the Budapest University of Economics and the Harvard Business School.

He served on the board member of HVCA, since February 2016 he has been a member of the supervisory board.

 

Norbert Bial

Norbert graduated at the University of Miskolc on Faculty of Economics in 2006. He joined Euroventures in May 2010 as an investment analyst.  In his previous jobs Norbert was involved in innovation project management and business consulting. He gathered experience in the fields of intellectual property law and EU tenders.

Norbert currantly works as an investment manager in the Euroventures team.
