The capital can be invested into Hungarian small- and medium-sized enterprises with headquarters in the Central Hungarian region, which are younger than 5 years and have less than HUF 1.5 billion consolidated revenue. Prospective portfolio companies can be a start-up or in expansion phase and should have a business plan, which clearly shows the use of the capital to grow the business and to achieve a return to the investors over a 3-6 year time frame.
Euroventures invests only alongside private investors who need to provide at least 30% of the total investment in cash. The maximum investment into one single portfolio company is €4.5 million (together with the co-investors), maximum €1.5 million of that within one year. The minimum investment size is around HUF 100m. The investment can only happen via capital increase. The funding can support regional growth as well as start-ups.
Purchase of existing shares (buy-out) is excluded. The target company may be involved in any industry except coal and steel, ship manufacturing, property development and financial services. The typical holding period is 3-6 years. A clear exit strategy is required.
